SPINAL FLOW IN GROUPS

Spinal Flow group sessions harness the power of collective energy to facilitate healing by applying gentle touch to specific points along the spine to release blockages and promote what's known as the "Spinal Wave," potentially leading to increased healing energy and connection with one's own spinal flow.

Spinal Flow Technique in a Group Setting (30 mins)

  • Participants lie on mats or massage tables in a relaxed position.

  • I gently assess spinal gateways, applying light touch to stimulate the body's natural healing response.

  • Energy shifts may occur – some people feel warmth, tingling, emotional release, or deep relaxation.

  • Encourage participants to breathe and let go of any resistance.

FAQs

  • Pricing varies based on location, practitioner experience, session length and whether it’s an initial assessment or follow-up. For example: one practitioner charges approximately $150 CAD for a 1.5-hour first session including assessment, with follow-ups around $100 CAD for 45 minutes. Many clinics also offer package rates or blocks of sessions to make ongoing care more cost-effective.

  • The Spinal Flow Technique is a recognized modality founded by Dr Carli Axford, a former chiropractor, which emphasizes gentle, non-invasive touch at specific access points along the spine and nervous system to support the body’s own healing intelligence. While it may not have the extensive clinical trials of some mainstream therapies, many practitioners and clients report positive outcomes for stress relief, spinal-nervous system connection, and emotional/energetic release.

  • During a session, you’ll typically lie comfortably while the practitioner uses very light touch on defined “access points” (often sacrum, cranium and along the spine). This touch is intended to activate the nervous system, release stored physical/chemical/emotional stress and restore flow between brain, spine and body. New clients often begin with a full assessment (posture, spinal gateways, history) followed by the treatment; subsequent sessions focus on the healing process. Most people describe the experience as deeply relaxing, sometimes accompanied by subtle internal sensations or release.

  • While both modalities are gentle and involve energetic or nervous system-based healing, there are key differences. Spinal Flow specifically works through access points along the spine and focuses on nervous system and brain-body communication via the spine. Reiki is a broader energy-healing modality typically applied over the body-field. Therefore, yes there are similarities (non-invasive, energy/nervous system oriented) but Spinal Flow has a distinct anatomical/spinal approach.

  • Results and session numbers vary a lot depending on your condition, history of stress or trauma, and how your body responds. Some clients feel improvement after the first or second session; others may require a block of sessions (8–12 or more) for deeper or chronic issues. Your practitioner will usually recommend a plan tailored to your goals and may incorporate review assessments as you progress.
